Homeschooling can be expensive, and Iowa law does not allow homeschool families to deduct a single school expense on their yearly taxes. Thankfully, there are quite a few homeschool families out there who've included lots of free stuff on their websites.
Khan Academy
The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit organization with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education to anyone anywhere - students, teachers, home-schoolers, principals, or adults returning to the classroom after 20 years. The Khan Academy's materials and resources are available to you completely free of charge.
Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool
The author of this site has created a complete, free Christian curriculum.
Old Fashioned Education
Miss Maggie from Old Fashioned Education provides many great links to classical, public domain materials.
This site has many different games and activities, all for free, but this link will take you directly to the self-grading timed quizzes. There are quizzes for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division - all timed and graded.
Donna Young Printables and Resources
A wonderful free website full of organizational tools. Download and print weekly lesson plan forms, attendance charts, planners, forms for reporting grades, transcripts, etc.

Learn a foreign language for free!
With more than 20 languages available to learn, Duolingo has been given the status of Editor's Choice by PC Magazine in August of 2016. They say it rates as high, or even higher, than some of its rival paid programs.
